It is so hard to book at Hubert! We had to make a table of 6 and book over a month in advance… But it was definitely worth it. Hubert takes you to a very special atmosphere: an underground wood-panelled dark basement with a piano on a scene, velvet curtains, dozens of frames on the walls and thousands of liqueur bottles in the stairs…

Hubert is definitely one of the trendiest restaurant in Sydney this year. All Sydney food critics have been there and they loved it! The feedback is just amazing. I easily agree with it. My only restriction is I found it a bit pricey.

Hubert offers many traditional old French dishes that you hardly find in Australia, such as aïoli, cassoulet or pissaladière. This gives the venue a higher level of authenticity and I quite liked spending a night “a la bonne franquette”.
