about Laura b.

I have always been a foodie.

It all started in Marseille in the South of France, when my grandmother, Irene, began to pass on the secrets of her authentic cuisine. Since then, I have spent every available moment in my kitchen trying to meet new cooking challenges.

My passion for cooking has led me to winning the French cooking TV show “Un diner presque parfait” (the equivalent of “Come dine with me”) with more than 2 million views in France.

Six months later, I enrolled in a professional cooking contest at the Paul Bocuse institute and ended up ranked 4/15. In Sydney, I have recently been a finalist candidate of Luke Mangan’s CEO competition.

With a Master degree in marketing, I specialised in the food & beverage industry and have spent 9 years looking after restaurants, including 4 with the famous “Grandes Brasseries” in Paris. My experience as head of marketing has given me a key understanding of what enables great restaurants to be successful.

Since 2014, I have been living in Sydney. My mission: to discover and taste all Sydney’s best restaurants.

Lately, I have added food photography to my skill set. You can find my latest photos on instagram @food.is.all and on Food is all website.
